Don’t let unused applications keep running. Too many active applications can slow down your
Mac since each one consumes memory. For applications you only use occasionally, add them to QuitApp and set how long
they should remain idle before automatically quitting.
Features
- Add the applications you want to manage in the Editor view
- Each application you add can have its own timeout setting
- Select for each application if we need it to quit even when it hangs (Forced quit)
- Live countdown timer showing time until auto-quit for running applications
- You can select to be notified just before an application will quit
- You can add an application by dragging it onto the list, by using the
+ button
or via the menu (or
its global shortcut) when an application is in the foreground
- The timeout only applies when the application is not used
- Define you shortcuts for opening the editor and adding an application to the list
- Build with SwiftUI and Swift version 6 and with modern macOS Tahoe interface
- Easy accessible and interesting log files
- Simplicity without unnecessary frills
- QuitApp runs on macOS 15.0 and later, and is notarized by Apple (because QuitApp quits other applications, it
cannot be sandboxed)
- QuitApp is absolutely free!
